Grounding Life Outdoor Podcast . Robert Althuis on Love+Truth. Tree Tops Park, Florida. 2024

On Grounding Life Podcast we take conversations out of the studio and into the trees, the grass, and the path beneath our feet when we need !

In this episode I walked and ran barefoot with Robert Althuis and his partner through a Florida park to talk about his book Love+Truth and the lived practice of spiritual awakening.

Moving together allowed the conversation to stay embodied: it wasn’t just ideas on a page, but experience in real time, feeling the ground, noticing breath, and noticing what shows up when we slow down and reconnect.

Robert brings a clear, compassionate voice to themes at the heart of Love+Truth: the search for inner authenticity, the role of love as a guiding principle, and how truth functions as a practical, transformational ethic.

During our barefoot tour we explored how those ideas translate into daily life, how small practices, attention to the body, and honest relationship to our inner experience can shift patterns of fear, disconnection, and distraction.

We also discussed the relationship between spiritual insight and embodied habit:

How grounding the body can help anchor insights from the book into sustainable change.

This episode is intentionally plural:

alongside Robert and his partner, I invite scientists, skeptics, clinicians, and everyday people to test the claims and feel for themselves.

Robert spoke openly about integrating contemplative practice with clear, usable guidance, not as doctrine but as tools for engagement.

Listeners hear reflections on the book’s themes, practical cues for beginning an inner practice, and examples of how living from love-and-truth changes how we move, relate, and rest.

If you’re curious about the intersection of grounded, embodied practice and spiritual inquiry or if you’ve read Love+Truth and want to hear the author unfold the ideas on a barefoot trail, this episode offers both conversation and invitation.

Listen to the full interview on the podcast page, and join us on future barefoot tours as Grounding Life Podcast travels beyond Florida to parks and forests around the world.
